50th Anniversary celebrated in style

I wish to express heartfelt appreciation to everyone who helped support the Art Soiree event on Friday evening, and the 50th Anniversary Festival on Saturday.
There were so many people who helped with what was a very enjoyable and memorable evening; the food was incredible with catering from Penny's Pantry and 2 chefs & a cupcake.
Those who manned the desk (front of house) and the bar were magnificent. There were also very many behind the scenes helpers, staff, students and community members.
The entertainment organized by Ms Simons featuring past and present students was superb, and Joe Berlingeri with his duo 'AnnJo' performed really great music until the evening came to a conclusion. The event was well attended by past students and teachers and the evening had a really positive vibe.
The turnout on Saturday was amazing! The crowds just kept coming, the day echoed the sounds of joy as individuals smiled and embraced those they had not seen for years. The foundation Principal (Mr Noel Rollins,) attended and gave a very special speech. Other foundation staff also made the effort to visit.
For those still bitter about the name change of the school seventeen years ago, it was a chance to see that the school is thriving and in good hands.
The day concluded magically with fireworks that looked like explosions from the tall gum trees around the lower oval.
Thank you once again to all of you who kept the faith and supported the 50th Committee team. I do not want to list names in fear of forgetting to mention anyone.
Kind Regards
Judith Parker
